Volunteer

Volunteers help the residents stay socially active and involved in the care center community. They are a critical aspect of the nursing home environment. Most importantly they have the power to make a difference in the residents' lives.

• Provide one-on-one visitation with the residents and assist with the scheduled activities.

• Must display a strong sense of caring for the elderly.
• Must be committed to the volunteer experience.
• Each volunteer must complete a brief training related to privacy.
• Youth volunteers must be 10 years of age and complete a wheel chair training session.

Opportunities:

• Adults: May participate in crafts, bingo, socializing with residents, and other various activities.
• Youth: May be involved in the summer program, outings with the residents and games.
